Welcome to the Accelerated Reader!

Accelerated Reader is a self paced reading program that rewards students for reading independently. When a student has completed reading their AR book, they take a comprehension quiz on that book. Students are awarded points for each quiz they pass with a score of 60% or better.

AR prizes are awarded every nine weeks for the points they earn on quizzes passed throughout the school year. Points accumulate throughout the year.

1. Select a book. Students can select from thousands of books that range from a pre-primer to an eighth grade reading level.

2. Read the book. Students will read the books at their own pace.

3. Take the quiz. When students have read the book, they will take a computerized quiz, featuring 5, 10, or 20 multiple choice comprehension questions.
