Phones ring directly to extensions that begin with a "4." During
regular school hours, phones do not ring at extensions that begin
with a "3." Messages for those extensions will go directly to voice
mail. If you know your party's extension, dial the Auto
Attendant number (397-4962) and the four
digit
extension to avoid
the long recorded message you receive when dialing the main campus number.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the best resolution for
viewing this site?
A: Northside ISD student and staff
computers are usually set to a resolution of 800 X 640. This site
was designed using Dreamweaver
MX to be viewed best at that resolution. The autostretch command
was used to provide spacer images to make the site easy to read at
the more common resolution used by most of the world: 1024 X 768.
Q: Why don't you put more pictures of student
activities on the site?
A: Northside ISD's web publishing guidelines
require the webmaster to get annual approval for including a student's photo
or work on the site. Web
publishing
permission forms are sent home each year in September, but unfortunately,
the
return rate is low. If this form comes home, please sign it and give permission
for us to showcase your student and his or her work.
Q: Why don't you provide a Search feature for the
site?
A: We used a free search feature in the past. That
company now puts advertising on the search page and we have no control over what
is advertised. Sometimes
the products are inappropriate for viewing by the school community, so we have
discontinued the search feature. In addition, the free search tools do not provide
frequent site indexing, so users find the search frustrating since the search
results do not reflect recent additions
to and deletions from the site.
Q: How can I share valuable information with
the Rawlinson community?
A: E-mail your request to the webmaster. It will
be reviewed by the campus principal and, if approved, posted on the site.
Q: Why
won't some links open for me, especially the teachers' classroom updates?
A: Many files on this site are .pdf files that
are created with Adobe Acrobat.
Download
and install the
free Adobe Acrobat
Reader
plug-in and try to access the files again. If you have problems, contact
the webmaster.
Q: Some
movie files won't open for me. What is wrong?
A: Some files are in the Quicktime file format.
Download the free Apple
QuickTime plug-in and try again to open the movie. If you continue to have
problems, you may need a different video helper application. Two others that
you may need
are the free Windows
Media Player plug-in and the Real Player plug-in.
Notify the webmaster if these helper applications don't solve your problem.
Q: Some animation files
won't open for me. What is wrong?
A: Some files are in the Shockwave or Flash file
format. Download the free Shockwave
Player and Flash
Player plug-ins
and try again to open the animation.
Q: What do I do if I find inappropriate information
at one of the links on your site?
A: Report your findings to the webmaster and the campus principal.
Q: What do I do if
I find a broken link?
A: E-mail the URL of the broken link to the webmaster.
