RMS library

Welcome, Patriots!

Millie Linares, Librarian
Sandra Humes, Library Assistant

Enter the doors of the Patriot library and you find a very friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere that is conducive to reading and research. Each morning before school over 50 students visit the library on their own time. WOW!

Over 25,000 volumes

We have over 25,000 volumes of fiction and non-fiction and are constantly adding to our collection. Students appreciate the quantity and quality of our holdings.
Computerized circulation system

Keeping up with so many books could be a daunting task, but with our computerized circulation system to scan items, it is a breeze.

  Technology abounds
Students have access to sixteen internet-connected workstations, a scanner, and digital cameras for classroom checkout and use. The WebCat system makes locating books easy.

        Audiovisual extras
Millie Linares, librarian, uses a laptop, digital projector, and karaoke machine to project life size visuals with amazing audio as she shares research methods and does web-based booktalks.

        Video Distribution
Teachers can request multi-classroom access to videotapes and DVDs by making reservations for channels 65, 66, 68, or 69 on our video distribution system.

The Patriot Library is FUN!
Students also love to visit with the library pet, Madame Octa (a tarantula).

If you need training on how to use the United Streaming site, see the librarian or the campus instructional technologist. The site has online tutorials that are also very helpful.

If you do not remember how to log in to the United Streaming site, see the password protected Login Instructions. The librarian or CIT can give you the password if you forget it.
