Northside Independent School District is committed to providing technology
support to all students in a effort to provide a high quality education.
Each Middle school has three computer lab and an IT lab. The school libraries
have student computer work stations and there are a least couple of laptop
cart stations on each campus. All student computers have internet access.
Students are always monitored while using the computer stations. NISD follows
state regulations that all students have parent permission to use the computers
and follow the acceptable use policies.
To support technology integration each campus has a Computer Instructional
Technologist (CIT). The main responsibility of the CIT is to create and
implement lessons that integrate the content areas with technology. The
CIT can also work with teachers to help train students in the computer
application programs. In addition, the CIT supports the teachers and staff
in technology training needs and maintains the campus web site.
