.....Northside ISD has established partnerships with seven child development centers throughout the district. This program is called the Community Based Program. The purpose is to educate children, ages 3 and 4 who have qualified for services in a PPCD classroom, in a developmentally appropriate environment with children without disabilities. Northside provides a certified special education teacher and an instructional assistant at each child development center. NISD students can also receive Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Assistive Technology, Adapted Physical Education and transportation if needed. The community based program follows the NISD calendar and, at most locations, the NISD students attend class from 8:00-11:00.
