information on various communication inventors/inventions. When done, they will present what they have
learned in either a student made webpage or a timeline poster, both including
the discussion of how that invention
had changed communication and how it was important to communication today.
Students will then present their findings and later vote on the invention/inventor
of the century, justifying their choices. |

their prompt and brainstorm possible research questions with the Librarian. |
7. Students will interview their grandparents over
changes in communication in their lifetime. |

the strategies of trash and treasure research. |

for communication inventor/invention of the century, justifying their choice. |

research the inventor/invention using a variety of sources. |

present their information, conclusions and proposals in their choice of a webpage or timeline poster. |

Students can work as
a group dividing up the questions or student can have a "reader" to
help read through the research articles.
You could also print the websites and have student highlight the

how to navigate the internet using links, and should be familiar with the
software of their project choice, ( Publisher and Timeliner) |
