Center Activities (Interpersonal)(SF): 
Blocks/ Maps (Visual Spatial)– Using parquetry pieces,  students construct their own “rainbows, “ and then record using paper and colors. 

 

“Housekeeping”(Kinesthetic)- Bubble exploration

 

Letter/Word center-(Linguistic)- have students fill in chart with all colors listed across top. Students write “words” that are the same color as the color at the top of the column.  For example:  red     green      blue

               apple    grass       sky

 

Music/ Listening(Musical)-Tapes of rainbow songs used with the whole class

 

Science(Naturalist)-Add Prisms and flashlights to your science center with recording paper and markers or crayons

 

Art(Visual Spatial)- Drip drop art. (see science curriculum), sun + water = rainbow activity in science curriculum. Rainbow necklaces.

 

Math-(Mathematical)-Graph:  Have you ever seen a rainbow? Use Names.

 

Dreamer (Existential)(NF))- Using your journal, explain how rainbows “enrich” our lives or what our lives would be like without rainbows.
