The Process

There are four steps you will need to follow in order to complete your assignment. Be sure to go to evaluation to see how your project will be graded.

Step 1:  First, get the organizer pg 1 and Pg 2 and read the items for which you will search the listed sites on the resources page to find information. You will use this information to create your project. Remember to save any pictures you may want to include in your project to your folder. Above all, don't forget to copy the source number in the correct spot so that you can give credit to your sources.

Step 2:  Open the software that you will use to produce your project. (Powerpoint for a multimedia presentation, Publisher for a brochure, Word or Publisher for a poster.) Insert the information you found for your planet. Remember to add items that will make your advertisement appealing to travelers:

  • .Add clipart/photos or drawings to your presentation to make it more visually appealing (Visual/Spatial)

  • Add music or sounds to enhance your presentation (Music/Rhythmic)

  • Use graphs or charts that you have found or made to demonstrate information on your planet (Logical/Mathematical)

  • Utilize information you learned on by interviewing an astronaut or other earth/space science professional . (Naturalist.) See Mrs. Albrecht for how to "cite" this source.

  • Add a slide/section to show changes over time to your planet (Naturalist)

  • Use your own motion paths or even create your own for the entrances of your clip art or photos (Multimedia project only) (Bodily/Kinesthetic)

Step 3:  To be sure your project is complete and all the requirements have been met, read over the rubric in the evaluation section.

Step 4:  When your project is complete turn it in to your teacher. Be prepared to present it to the "travelers."

Step 5: During the presentations, you may make notes on the presentations using a Peer evaluation form. After the presentations, the travelers will purchase "tickets" to the planet of their choice, justifying that choice. The "agent" with the most "sales" will receive a "bonus." To book your reservations, go to our template file and open the Space reservation file.
