The Task
Imagine yourself in the year 2050. Scientists have made great advances in space travel and the other eight planets in our solar system are ready for tourists. You are an advertising agent and have been hired by SPACE (Space Place And Community Excursion) Company to help attract Earthlings to vacation on one of the planets.
Your mission, should you choose
to accept it (and you will since it's an assignment) is to design a travel
brochure, powerpoint, or a poster on the planet chosen for you by the
owner of SPACE (Space
Place And Community Excursion) Company (your
teacher). Each agent will be visiting websites to find pictures
and interesting information which is to be included in your planet travel
advertisement.
When done, you will present to your potential travelers. Based on your
presentations, those travelers will "buy" a ticket to one of
the destinations. The advertising agent with the most sales will receive
a "bonus."
Remember SPACE (Space Place And Community Excursion) Company is the leader in the travel business because the information in their brochures is complete, accurate, and educational. As new the new advertising agent for their company, the same is expected of your brochure.
