Letter/Word center-(Linguistic) Students can “spell” words with magnetic letters under picture of farm animals and products.
Music/ Listening(Musical)- Students can listen to farm songs or do a listening activity involving farm items.
Science(Naturalist)-Students could observe and draw lima beans that had been soaked and then split to see the leave beginning to form.
Art(Visual Spatial)-Students could make farm animal paper bag puppets.
Math-(Mathematical)-Students can use lima bean counters with cow faces on 1 side, pig faces on the other. If focus number is 8, students would have 8 beans in a cup, dump them onto a farm mat, putting all the cows on 1 side of the fence, all the pigs on the other. Then the would record on their mat recording sheet. Those who were ready could right the math fact underneath.
