Introducing.... World's Fair Structures. Rhodes ALPHA students have been studying structures this year. Beginning in October and still in progress is a technology project centered around World's fair structures of the past. What is learned from these structures will be applied to the design of their own structure to be "used" in the planned refurbishing of Hemisfair Plaza. Beginning on May 1st, you may browse to the site to view the many components. Don't miss the 1st person interview with a Tower of the Americas builder, our on-going discussions with a real construction manager, and the students own websites- both showcasing themselves and their research. "A Wii Bit of Exercise" a Hit Again at Rhodes..... Students have been loving our daily exercise time as we've switched to the "Just Dance" series along with Michael Jackson Experience. As a surprise, our field day this year included a station where a large group of students could dance to a variety of songs off the Wii game. Parents and teachers alike were amazed at the popularity of this station, with many students staying there until the sweat was dripping. Yes, exercising can be fun!!
