Feb. 7 - Strategic Plan 2013-2018 taking shape; we seek your input

What are the core beliefs of the Northside ISD community? What should we be working towards in the next five years? Those are questions that around 600 NISD parents, staff and other community members are asking themselves as they work through the writing of the 2013-2018 Strategic Plan.

Apr. 2 - Do you need help filling out college financial aid forms?

Two Northside ISD high schools will host “Student Aid Saturdays” in April to help students and parents apply for college financial aid. The events are free and open to all students from all NISD high schools. Parents and students are encouraged to attend.

Nov. 14 - UT‑Austin admits only top 7% automatically

Although most Texas public universities automatically admit the Top 10% of high school graduates, beginning  in the Summer/ Fall of 2014, the University of Texas at Austin will automatically admit the top 7 percent of the Class of 2014 high school graduates who wish to attend UT at Austin.  This will affect current high school juniors. Students not in the top 7% of their high school graduating may still apply and UT‑Austin will determine their eligibility for admission.
