The Science and Engineering Academy Parent Support Group (“PSG”) was organized in 2004 for the purpose of fostering good communication between parents, students and teachers, encouraging parental involvement in student activities, and supporting the aims of the Science and Engineering Academy. The PSG works tirelessly to provide assistance and support for many unique programs that continue to define the SEA as a premier college preparatory school.

The PSG has several support committees each with a specific focus. The Event and Hospitality Committee's activities include providing refreshments at SEA events and preparing baked goods, gift bags, and other items for SEA teachers. The Student Committee is in charge of organizing tutoring and carpools for academic events. The Fundraising Committee raises funds for scholarships and the Senior Banquet through selling t-shirts and hats embroidered with the Science and Engineering Academy logo.

The Senior Banquet is the biggest project for the PSG each year. At the Senior Banquet, the seniors and their families are treated to a formal sit-down dinner, with many pleasant surprises. It is a night to celebrate the many achievements of the SEA students. It is a night to be remembered and cherished by all for years to come.

Parents and family members of students at the Science and Engineering Academy are always welcome to join the PSG. The yearly dues are only $5.00. Meetings usually take place on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the school library. Anyone interested in joining the PSG should download the membership form and have the money and the form delivered to the Science and Engineering Academy office.
