All Foster and Surrogate Parents of students with special needs attending Northside ISD (NISD) are required to attend Foster and Surrogate Parent Training provided by NISD regarding the Special Education Process.   Once attended, the parent’s legal foster and surrogate parent training obligation with NISD Special Education is considered fulfilled.

A light meal is provided with each training.
NOTE: Dates are subject to change.  Please call to confirm dates.

Training offered three times on training days.
8:30 – 10:30 AM   OR   12 Noon – 2:00 PM   OR   6:00 – 8:00 PM

Training is MANDATORY, but only required one time!   

Arrangements can be made if an interpreter or childcare is needed.
Please call in advance to allow proper coordination.
