Activity:

Using a computer for your darkroom makes it possible to do lots of things with your original photos. Students can enhance the images, selectively crop them, resize them, create compositions using multiple images, and apply special effects.

Now it is time for you to choose one of the ideas you e-mailed and make a sample of a student product. Check out a digital camera from the library and get a floppy disk. After you take your picture, open it in a photo editing software such as Microsoft Photo Editor and enhance your picture (balance, crop, resize if is to be used on a web page, etc). Create your student sample and e-mail the completed product to the CIT.

Ask yourself these questions:
Did you have fun doing this assignment? Do you think your students would have fun with this assignment? Is the learning activity worthwhile or are you just using technology for technology's sake? Is this something your students can do? How much time would your students' need to complete the activity? Can your students do this in the classroom or do you need to use the lab?
