Harold Maldonado

Principal

Harold Maldonado has been an educator for 22 years and has served as principal at both William Howard Taft High School and Sul Ross Middle School. He was the vice principal at Jordan Middle School when it first opened and he was a secondary science teacher at Truman, Ross and Jones middle schools prior to his work in administration. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and earned his Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
Mr. Maldonado is an active member of his church and he enjoys camping, fishing, walking and reading. He and his wife, Linda, have been married for 19 years and they have three children, James, Marisa and John. They all attend Northside schools.

David Empson
Vice Principal

Mr. Empson is the Vice Princpal at Stevens High School. He is the immediate supervisor of the Assistant Principals and develops the campus discipline policy. Additionally he is responsible for the development and implementation of the master schedule.

Michelle Craig
Academic Dean

I am Rose Michelle Craig, Academic Dean at John Paul Stevens High school. I am a Northside product. I attended Meadow Village Elementary School, Anson Jones Middle School, and I am a proud graduate of John Jay High School.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Austin, and I also hold a Master of Arts degree from UTSA.
My years of experience as an educator have also all been in Northside. I taught at E.M. Pease Middle School and John Jay High School. I also served as an Assistant Principal at Tom C. Clark High School, and my previous assignment was that as an Assistant Principal at Earl Warren High School. (continued)
