What to bring:
Proof of Residence : Proof of residency must be in the name of the student's parent or guardian. We will only accept the following items: a current water or electric bill, lease agreement or closing statement on a new home.
If the student and parent/guardian live in the residence of a third party, NISD requires an Affidavit of Residence for which both the parent/guardian of the child and the resident must obtain, prepare, and submit to the administrator a notarized Affidavit of Residence which attests that the family of the child is residing with the resident. Forms are available on campus .
If a person is attempting to enroll a child and the person is not the parent or legal guardian of the child, the person will be required to obtain a Power of Attorney stating that the parent/guardian has given the person care, custody and control of the student for school purposes, health care and general welfare. In addition, the Power of Attorney will give the person parental rights to participate in and consent to the district's decisions, hearings and testing that affect the child's evaluation for placement in or removal from any type of special education classes or programs. Please call 397-8695 – Pupil Personnel Office to schedule an appointment and fill out all the required paperwork.

9. Transcript or final report cards for 10-12 th graders or incoming 9 th graders with middle school credits.
Special documentation
If your child is receiving special education services, please bring copies of your child's most recent ARD/IEP
Legal documents in situations involving divorce, legal guardianship and restraining orders should also be brought at the time of pre-registration.
Is the responsibility of the parent, not the school to obtain all the items required for registration.
