These lessons have been developed by NISD middle school CITs and content area teachers. We proudly give you these lesson plans and materials as additional resources for your use. Do not look upon them as 'additional' work. These lessons are intended to either take the place of existing lessons or existing end-of-unit assessments but with technology integrated into them.

The Educator’s Reference Desk builds on over a quarter century of experience providing high-quality resources and services to the education community. From the Information Institute of Syracuse, the people who created AskERIC, the Gateway to Educational Materials, and the Virtual Reference Desk, the Educator’s Reference Desk will bring you the resources you have come to depend on.

  • Over 3,000 resources on a variety of educational issues. This collection includes Internet sites, educational organizations, and electronic discussion groups developed by an expert team of network information specialists in response to educators’ questions.

PIZZAZ Writing People Interested in Zippy and ZAny Zcribbling: PIZZAZ! is dedicated to providing simple creative writing and oral storytelling activities with copyable (yes, copyable!) handouts for use with students of all ages. Permission is given to use these resources for in-class, nonprofit use only.
Letters, Lettering Writing and other Intimate Discourse This site not only covers the mechanics of writing but is also contains collections of letters such as those of Jane Austen, US Presidents, and much more.
The Virtual Cell Website Teachers will find worksheets available here. These sheets help direct your students activities when using the cell tour.
Aesop's Fables Since 1994 Professor Copper Giloth has assigned her students in Art 271, Introduction to Computing in the Fine Arts, the task of illustrating the traditional Aesop's fables along side their own retellings of the fables in a modern setting. This collection gathers together artwork from several semesters.
