Educators:
  1. demonstrate knowledge and skills of concepts related to technology and the use of technology
  2. demonstrate continual growth in technology knowledge and skills to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies
  3. use technology appropriately to increase productivity
  4. engage in communication utilizing technology
2. Teaching and Learning

Educators use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that maximize student learning, creativity, and innovation in order to prepare students for success in the digital-age.
Educators:
  1. design learning opportunities to support diverse learning needs by utilizing instructional strategies supported through the use of technology
  2. incorporate the use of meaningful technology resources within the context of learning activities

3. Social, Ethical, and Legal Issue

Educators understand the social, ethical, legal, and human issues surrounding the use of technology in PK-12 schools and apply the understanding in daily practice.

Educators:
  1. teach, model, and promote the safe, legal and ethical use of digital information and technology
  2. teach, model, and promote digital citizenship (digital etiquette and responsible social interactions) related to the use of technology and information
  3. teach, model, and promote copyright awareness and consequences of plagiarism
 
4. Assessment and Evaluation

Educators use technology to facilitate a variety of effective assessment and evaluation strategies to address student achievement.
Educators:
  1. use technology resources to collect and analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practice and maximize student learning
  2. use project-based assessments, including rubrics and portfolios, to measure what students know and are able to do
