Areas of Service

Six integrated areas of service make up the core of the Technology Services Division organization (see Organization Chart) . Our service areas provide a variety of comprehensive leadership, service and support initiatives that advance the effective use of technology in Northside ISD. The core service components are:

• Technology Management Services (Kelly Smith, Assistant Superintendent; Diana Goering, Executive Director; John Evans, Director)
  Develops, implements and oversees technology-related standards, policies, procedures, revenues, security, and Technology Acquisitions and Project Management (Organization Chart) throughout the District.

• Academic Technology Services (Joyce Stevens, Director) Organization Chart
  Responsible for state technology curriculum requirements (TEKS for Technology Applications K-12), integration of technology into foundation and enrichment curricula, and technology support for Curriculum and Instruction.

• Library and Textbook Services (Jana Knezek, Director) Organization Chart
  Provides support and leadership for campus librarians and library programs by delivering professional development, online circulation and library catalog, centralized cataloging and provides for the ordering and distribution of all state adopted textbooks.

• Technology Training and Development Services (Elizabeth Langer, Director) Organization Chart
  Designs and delivers standards-based technology staff development for teachers, administrators, and support staff. Learning opportunities include online modules, study/user groups, tutorials, classes, readings, visits, lesson and product development, independent learning, coaching and mentoring.

• Integrated Infrastructure Services (Lori Jones, Director) Organization Chart
  Responsible for the design, management and operation of stable and robust instructional/administrative systems which provide fully integrated voice, video, and data to meet federal, state, and local legal requirements, and bring information to the user’s desktop.

• Integrated Information Services (Gerri Collier, Director) Organization Chart
  Responsible for business and student data collection, analysis, usage and reporting required to meet federal, state, and local legal requirements as well as end user needs.
