  • Video Production for Teachers
    The purpose of this 22-hour course is to increase teachers' understanding of how video production can be integrated effectively into instruction, and to teach the skills necessaries to create high quality "movies."

  • Video Distribution System
    Learning modules on this site are packaged as a series of basic training videos for the Video Distribution System located on the campuses. This workshop is a great introduction to this valuable communication and instruction resource.

  • HP Scanner - Online Resource
    Video how-to's and printed step-by-step instructions are used to teach specific HP scanner skills for: 1. Photographs or drawings for printing or for viewing over a monitor 2. Three dimensional objects 3. Slides 4. Negatives 5. Editable text. You will also learn to use the transparent materials adapter (TMA), a device for scanning slides and film.

  • Video - Online Resource
    Learn how to use Roxio Videowave Power Edition 5 and the Canon DV Camcorder. In this tutorial, the learner will go through the process of editing digital video, combining still videos, attaching narration and music, and creating an entry and exit title. An appendix to this tutorial provides the detailed information for playing back the video and capturing video from a VCR.

  • Using the Web and Digital Media in Instruction: Cultivating Creative Learning in a Media-Rich World
    The purpose of this course is to increase understanding of how the Web and digital media can be used effectively in teaching and learning. Modules are: Integrating Digital Media with Students and Web-Enhanced Courses for Students (6 hours)

  • Dreamweaver Basics
    This tutorial will walk the participant through the process of creating, posting, and managing an Internet site using Dreamweaver and Fireworks software. A Flash animation and original resource photos (provided for the participant) will be used to build the site.

  • Active Learning in Cyberspace
    You will study many of the issues relevant to online teaching and learning in this course. Modules include: The Role of Instructional Design, Accredited Online Courses for Students, Web-Enhanced Courses for Students, Online Staff Development for Educators (10 hours)


  • Camtasia Basics
    Learn how to use the five integrated Camtasia applications to produce and play back videos for training, tutorials, and multimedia presentations. Videos can be played online as Flash videos. Elaborate training CD’s and multimedia presentations can be created as a self-contained package.

  • Webmaster Mini-Lessons
    This collection of mini-lessons teaches advanced skills in Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Javascript, etc.
