Session I

Introduction

Administrators play a pivotal role in determining how well technology is used in our schools. The Collaborative for Technology Standards for School Administrators (TSSA Collaborative) has developed standards that enable us to move from just acknowledging the importance of administrators to defining the specifics of what administrators need to know and be able to do to optimize the effective use of technology in our schools. The Technology Turning Points sessions, presented in four parts, are designed to help Northside administrators understand, internalize and utilize the TSSA standards.

At the conclusion of Session I, administrators will:
• Become familiar with the TSSA framework
• Begin to explore the TSSA Leadership and Vision Standard
• Examine the TSSA Assessment and Evaluation Standard through a performance task utilizing various resources
