NISD Voice Mail Upgrade will be August 13 for HR & SS.
  Follow these steps...
imageCisco Phone 1.  All existing mail boxes and voice mail will be deleted*. After the upgrade is completed for your campus/department, users will not be able to access any of their current messages stored on the system. Please review/take note of any important information contained in the current voice mail system one day prior to your campus/department scheduled cutover date.

2.  This voice mail upgrade includes the building of all new mail boxes for users.  Users will need to log into their mail box and complete the self enrollment process (follow the voice activated/guided prompts) before they can begin using the new voice mail system after their scheduled upgrade date.

During the enrollment process, the system will ask for a recorded name and a personal greeting.  The recorded name is first and last name only and is required to complete enrollment.  We encourage the recording of a personal greeting to provide helpful contact information to the caller.  For the clearest possible recording, please use the handset.
The default password/PIN for the new mail boxes is 12345.
The final step of the enrollment process is for users to change the default password.  If users desire to set up their new voice mail box with their current password, they may.

Please ensure widest dissemination of this information to your staff.

Any issues resulting from the voice mail upgrade can be directed to the Technology Services Help Desk at extension 7700.

*NOTE: Deletion of campus voice mail boxes (excluding campus administrators and any other campus-base staff with a direct dial number, e.g. nurse, counselor, etc.) is a normal summer activity and therefore re-establishing a voice mail box (steps described above) for teachers should not be perceived as a change to the normal back-to-school activities for teachers.
