Please come join us for Vale Middle School's first ever Technology Night! Join us in the Library as we showcase how techonology is implemented in the classroom. We will have teachers and students available to demonstrate projects that they have been working on throughout the year. Parents and incoming 6th grade students can get a glimpse of the wonderful things that await their child at Vale next year! This event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28th at 6:30. The School Health Services will be conducting spinal screenings onTuesday April 7th for 8th grade girls and Wednesday, April 8th for 8th grade boys. The purpose of spinal screening is to detect the signs of abnormal curves of the spine at their earliest stages so that the need for treatment can be determined. Scoliosis, a common spinal abnormality found in adolescents, is a sideways twisting of the spine. It is usually detected in children between 10 and 14 years of age

Thanks to the Vale PTA - Vale MS will be kicking off our Watch D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) program on Tuesday Jan. 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Any fathers (or male guardians) of current Vale students that are interested in being part of this program are asked to be at this kick off meeting to sign up and get information of how Watch D.O.G.S. will run at Vale the remainder of this school year....

Our campus goal is to have 100% participation from our parents/guardians with Parent Connection. We are close with just over 95% but we really hope to get 100% and ensure parents know how to use it to assist with their student's success. To help get everyone signed up with an account, and make sure parents are aware of all the ways it can assist with monitoring student progress - we are hosting a Parent Connection - Get Connected Event on Thursday Nov. 13th from 5:30-7:30 in the school library.

Today's football "A" games vs. Pease - both the 7th grade at Pease and the 8th grade at Vale have been cancelled and there will be no make up games. This decision is based on weather conditions and the conditions of the football fields, and serious consideration for the athletes and spectators safety. Basketball tryouts begin on Monday Nov. 10th and more information on tryouts can be found on the athletics page.

Thanks to Representative Trey Martinez-Fischer, and Google, the 8th grade students at Vale MS were treated to an internet safety presentation called "You are what you share." This presentation, lasting approximately 45 minutes, showed students the importance of internet safety and being responsible on social media and the internet. Five main tips were shared with the students which are: 1. Think before you share, 2. Protect your stuff, 3. Know and use your settings, 4. Avoid scams and 5. Be Positive.
