Stargazing
Each year the Northside Independent School District Science Department hosts a Stargazing Night for the Young Astronauts Chapters in the elementary schools. The night includes activities relating to the study of space, trips to space and problem solving adventures about space. Students rotate throughout a two hour time period to various activities such as Create a Comet, Space Olympics, Phone Home and Bingo - to name just a few of the activities. This year we had 49 elementary schools participate, and everyone had a great time as you can see by the pictures below.
