Northside's Elementary Schools
offer a program for the fifth grade students. It is called Young Astronauts.
Young Astronauts meet once a
month and study curriculum related to space or aeronautics. Once a year
each Young Astronaut Chapter
spends an evening with all the other chapters in Northside, involved in
activities such as using telescopes to look at the moon, planets and stars.
They participate in Space Olympics, Building A Comet, Building A Control
Panel, to name just a few of the activities.
