ALPHA primary program is the Gifted and Talented Program.
Students in grade K-2, who qualify for the G/T program are
in ALPHA. Students spend 2 1/2 hours once a week
with the GT specialist studying creative/productive
people from around the world. They learn about
creative thinking and apply those skills to the different
activities in the primary ALPHA program.

"NISD emphasizes general intellectual ability and
specific academic attitude. NISD applies Joseph
Renzulli's concept of ' giftedness', which addresses
a a set of three interlocking clusters of traits:
intellectual ability, creativity, and task commitment."
