I am beginning my twenty-sixth year in elementary education. I hold a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I have certifications in Reading, Kindergarten and Mid-Management. I have received the following honors: The Texas Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Math Teaching, Northside's Elementary Teacher of the Year 1997, Texas' Elementary Science Teacher of the Year, Mayoral and County Judge Outstanding Science Teacher 2008 and I am a Master Teacher for the Intel Teach to the Future Program. I am truly looking forward to the challenge of teaching and learning with my ALPHA students.
