ALPHA Intermediate
In this enrichment program for students in grades three through five,
the Gifted and Talented resource teacher meets with qualified students
three to five hours per week to work in small groups in the ALPHA resource
room.
Multi-disciplinary, process-centered mini-studies are offered to students.
In designing these studies, careful attention is paid to student interests
and to the unique learning characteristics and needs of students in the
program.
The ALPHA resource center is equipped with various types of learning
materials and supplies. Students participate actively in the learning and
have the flexibility to "try out" unique ideas.
So long as students are successful in the GT program and progress well
in their academic endeavors, they may continue in the gifted and talented
programs through the 12th grade.
Thanks for visiting the Dr. Joe Ward Gifted and Talented Program. We invite
you to continue to check out our page for updates on our studies.
ALPHA Intermediate Curriculum
In the fall of 2006, the ALPHA students will study space.
They will look at parts of Space and
