Neil Armstrong was born on August 5,1930. He was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio.  His degrees were a Bachelor of Science earned at Purdue University, and he got a Master of Science which he earned at the University of Southern California .

He was the first person to walk on the moon. Neil Armstrong became a Commander. He is married and has two sons. He liked going to the moon. He liked space rockets. He was happy that he made seven orbits around the moon. He saw big boulders in the landing area.

He was also very happy when he won the Robert H. Goddard Memorial Trophy and the Presidential Medal for Freedom. He alsoreceived  the Robert J. Collier Trophy and the Congressional Space Medal of Honor. He enjoyed putting the American flag on the moon's surface. He was also very proud when he became co-chairman of the Presidential Commission. He liked the mission to find Tranquility. Tranquility is a sea on the moon. He was happy when he became chairman of Cardwell. He was proud of himself when he first got into the NASA space program. Neil Armstrong's missions were the Gemini 8 and  Apollo 11. The person with him on the Gemini 8 was David Scott. The astronauts who went to the moon with Neil Armstrong were Edwin "Buzz"  Aldrin and Michael Collins on the Apollo 11.  They had to work Together on Apollo 11 and Gemini 8 .
Neal Armstrong is still alive.
