by Aiyana

Neptune is the eighth planet from the sun. It was first seen by Galle and d'Arrest on September 23,1846. Neptune is like Uranus. Neptune's atmosphere has winds. They blow more than two thousand kilometers per hour. It has storms on it's surface. Neptune has nine moons. One of them is Triton. It orbits the opposite way of all the others. Neptune's gravitational pull is two times more than Earth's. Neptune's solar distance from the Sun is 4.5 billion kilometers. Neptune was discover in the mid-1980's.

Neptune has a layered atmosphere made of Hydrogen, Helium, and Methane. Neptune also has a mantle made of methane, icy water, and ammonia. Neptune has a core made of silicate rock. In Roman mythology, Neptune meant God of the Sea. Neptune has thirteen moons that we know of. Neptune has four rings. Neptune has many big spots. Neptune's atmosphere has a striped pattern of  clouds. Neptune's mass is 1.0247926kg. Neptune's diameter is 49,532km. Neptune's orbit is 4,504,000,000 km. from the sun. Neptune has a weird atmosphere. It can't be seen without a telescope.

Neptune's moons are Despina,Galatea Larissa, Naiad, Nereid, Protus, Thalassa, and Triton. Triton orbits the opposite way of all the others. Half of the moons are inner the other half is outer.
