I am beginning my twenty-third year in elementary education. I hold a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I have certifications in Reading, Kindergarten and Mid-Management. I have received the following honors: The Texas Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Math Teaching, Northside's Elementary Teacher of the Year 1997, Texas' Elementary Science Teacher of the Year, and I am a Master Teacher for the Intel Teach to the Future Program. I am truly looking forward to the challenge of teaching and learning with my ALPHA students.
