Each year Northside Independent School District hosts a convocation where Dr. John Folks, our superintendent,
presents the new year by reviewing our accomplishments in years past. We receive greetings from our school board members and listen to the plans for the new year. At Ward, we usually go to the Convocation by bus and this year Convocation was held at John Paul Stevens High School. We enter in our spirit shirts, our cowboy hats and we let them know that Ward Wranglers Lasso Success!
Following Convocation we have lunch and school planning. This year, our Principal, Brenda Ward hosted the entire staff at her house where we ate lunch, made signs for our classroom doors and decorated our buckets to go with our theme for the year, "How Full Is Your Bucket."
