Students at Dr. Joe Ward Elementary enjoyed a Math and Science Night on Tuesday, September 12, 2006. Teachers presented activities such as finding numbers greater than and less than in a newspaper, setting up an electric circuit, and investigating the properties of solids, liquids and gases, just to name a few of the numerous activities for parents and their children. Staff who presented the various workshops included: Marla Holiman, Becca Benavides, Alicia Taylor, Margaret Hickman, Julie Clayton, Bev Reyes, Cynthia Wallace, Virginia Parker, Vicky Bailey, Chris Campbell, Gina Gonzales, Heather Baird, Alicia Montgomery, Michelle Yebra, Leigh Rodriguez, Lisa Lee, Rory Raven, Marci Lawrence, Linda Garcia and Diana Badillo. Our two facilitators, Heather Jost, Science and Donna King, Math made materials and ensured that it would be a learning but fun night for all.
