I am looking forward to a great year teaching 2nd grade at Ward Elementary! I have been teaching for 8 years in the Northside Independent School District. In addition to 2nd grade, I have also taught 4th and 5th grades. I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication, and I received my Master's Degree in Education from the University of Hawaii (my home state). Before I was a teacher, I worked in public relations for a medical center.A Little Bit About Mrs. Seguin I have been married to my wonderful husband for three years. I enjoy working out at the gym, reading, art, travel and gardening in my spare time. My goal is to inspire
my students to be independent life-long learners, who are not afraid to
take on challenges.
Second graders will receive homework on Monday through Thursday. They will copy their assignments each day in their planners, or on a piece of notebook paper in their Traveling Folder. They are expected to read for 20 minutes each night, and record what they read in their reading logs.Homework Expectations for Second Graders
