Camp ARCH - College of Architecture
Runs from July 13th to July 19th. Participants will experience the professions of Architect, Landscape Architect, Constructor and Visual Designer. The objective is for the particpants to experience working together in a studio environmentjust as professionals would in a design or construction firm.

US Naval Academy Summer Seminar
The United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar is a fast-paced, six-day experience for high achievers who have completed their junior year in high school. The Summer Seminar teaches you about life at the Naval Academy, where academics, athletics, and professional training play equally important roles in developing our nation's leaders.

Louisiana State University - Scholastic Journalism Institue
Runs from June 8th to June 13th. Give students experience with the state-of-the-art newsgathering and news production facilities at the Manship School, as well as a chance to work with experts in the field as well as with media professionals in order to learn skills that will help them to improve thier own newspapers, broadcasts, and yearbooks.

Louisiana State University - Career Discovery Workshop
Runs from June 8th to June 14th. Participants will meet with professional architects and designers, learn what they do and how they prepared for their careers. They also will attend lectures and seminars, go on field trips, and explore design problems in an architecture and interior design studio.

Global Ethics and Conflict Resolution Camp
Runs from June 15th to June 21st and from June 22nd to June 28th. Some of the activities will include: making videos, posting an Internet magazine, participating in university faculty lectures and workshops, meeting community and student leaders, and much more!!.

Business Careers Awareness Program
Each summer, we invite high-achieving underrepresented high school juniors starting their senior year in the fall to participate in our Business Careers Awareness Program (BCAP). This program brings students to campus for a week, enabling them to discover the many opportunities available in accounting and business. It also gives you a chance to meet other high school students from throughout the state. This program is free.

Global Ethics and Conflict Resolution Camp for High School Students
This camp combines academics, service, research, and a taste of life at The University of Texas at Austin. Some of the activities will include: making videos, posting an Internet magazine, participating in university faculty lectures and workshops, meeting community and student leaders, and much more! Speakers will cover topics such as, Negotiation Theory, Music and Art, Civil Rights, Race, Ethnicity, Current Events, Individual Responsibility, and Community.

The program helps build academic and personal skills required for admission to competitive colleges
and universities. If you are interested in computer science, engineering or science, this is the program for you. Students are responsible for transportation, books, supplies, and recreation expenses that are estimated to be $300.

Bank of America Student Leaders Program
You would participate in a paid summer internship with a designated local nonprofit organizaiton. AND attend a six-day, all-expense paid Student Leadership Summit in Washington, DC. This program is to help students develop their civic, social and business leadership skills.

The EDGE Program at San Antonio College
This program provides a bridge between high school and college for students interested in Science, Math, Engineering, or Technology. It is an eight-week summer session where the student could earn 5 hours of college credit from SAC.

2008 High School Summer Program in Biomedical Sciences
The program will introduce interested and qualified students to a research environment and provide firsthand experience in the varied career opportunities available in the biomedical sciences.

USAF Academy Summer Seminar
You will spend a week immersed in all aspects of cadet life. You will go to classes taught by the same faculty who instruct cadets. You will live in cadet dormitories and eat at Mitchell Hall. Cost is $350 and you must arrange trasnportation to and from Colorado Springs, CO

High School Honors Seminar in Business Ethics
An interactive session that will challenge students to view business ethics in new ways, engage in stimulating dialogue on a major ethical dilemma, and emerge from the Ethics Seminar excited to pursue the next phase of their education.
Eligibility: seniors (top 10% of class, SAT of 1200+, or ACT of 25+, and counselor recommendation)

High School Aerospace Scholars NASA Johnson Space Center
An interactive, online learning experience where students complete Web-based lessons during the school year and travel to NASA for a six-day summer experience where they work NASA engineers and scientists developing a mission to Mars.

UIW Summer IN stitute HEALTH CAREERS
During a two-week overnight camp, you'll will explore university-level research and enjoy time with UIW faculty and student mentors. You'll visit area hospitals and labs to get first-hand experience in valuable careers in the health sciences. Plus, the on-campus and after- class activities will give you IN sight on how to survive and succeed in college ... and in life.
Eligibility: Students who've completed 10 th grade, have a strong GPA of 3.0 (85%) or better, and are excited about science and health careers
