The Presentation of Colors was performed by the San Antonio Fire Department Color Guard. The National Anthem was performed by the Taft High School Band. We had a number of distinguished veterans, including our guest speaker, Colonel Jerry T. Bailey, Northside I.S.D. Superintendent, John Folks, and NISD School Board member, Bobby Blount. The Zachry Advanced Choir sang several patriotic songs. Pass in Review included Lackland Air Force Base (Alpha Company), John Marshall High School JROTC, Sam Houston High School JROTC, and Earl Warren High School JROTC. Taps was performed by Sergeant Eric Morgan of the NISD Police Department.

After the ceremony, a number of Veterans visited classrooms to share their stories, experiences and insights with students. Military models of vehicles including aircraft, land vehicles and ships were on display for students to view.

A special thank you to the Veterans Day Committee members and staff, for dedicating their time and talents towards a fantastic display of patriotism for our United States Veterans. This truly was a memorable ceremony for our students, staff and guests!
