Standard attire is required for all students enrolled at H.B. Zachry Middle School. The student's clothing must fit properly, not exceeding one (1) size beyond/below the correct size and not be modified in any way. This includes bagging/sagging pants and oversized shirts/blouses. Logos/Labels are not permitted. Logos/Labels are permitted on pants; however, they are not permitted on shirts or blouses. Shorts are not permitted. A student will not be permitted to attend class if his/her clothing is out of compliance with this policy.
Shirts/blouses
must be completely and properly tucked in at all times when students
are on the Zachry campus. Students will be expected to have their shirts/blouses
tucked in from the moment they arrive on campus in the morning until they
are completely off campus in the afternoon. This includes
extracurricular activities, i.e., sports events, band contests, or any
other function in which students are representing Zachry at another location.
Parents are expected to provide attire that complies with the school's
and district's dress code. If a student arrives at school and is not in
compliance with the standard attire policy, his/her parent/guardian will be
called to bring clothing that conforms to this policy. Under no circumstances
will a student be allowed to attend classes in clothing other than standard
attire. Persistent noncompliance with the standard dress policy will be
considered insubordination.
In addition to this standard attire policy, Northside ISD dress code policies will be enforced.
