Mr. Martinez has been principal at Zachry Middle School since 1997. He has 15 years teaching experience as a Band Director and 6 years a an administrator before coming to Zachry.

Mr. Martinez is a BME graduate of Texas Lutheran College, and received his master's degree from Texas A&I University.

Mr. Martinez believes, "Public education has propelled this nation to its station as leader of the free world and the greatest civilization in history. If we are to maintain this level of achievement into the next century, we must continue to support the ideal of educational opportunity for all."
