Biography
Professional:
Howdy! My name
is Paige A. Huerta. I graduated from Stephen F.Austin State University
in Nacogdoches, Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Education. My degree
is in Speech and Hearing and I am also certified to teach students with
Learning Disabilities and the Emotional Disturbed. I also have my
Texas License in Speech/Language Pathology. I love children and have, since
I can remember, always wanted to work with 'special' children.
I have been in the field
of education for 23 years with 16 of those years being with NISD.
I have been a speech therapist as well as a classroom teacher at
the middle school level teaching children with both learning disabilities
as well as emotional problems. Before coming to Zachry(and NISD)
I also taught in Smithville, Del Valle, Carrollton/Farmer's Branch, Katy,
and in the Santa Monica/Malibu Unified School District in Santa Monica,
California!
Personal:
I was born in College
Station, Texas (Gig'Em' Aggies) and raised in Houston.
I have two wonderful,
handsome, rambunctious (look that up students!) happy sons; Ethan (9) a
Kuentz Elementary student and Greyson (14) an O'Connor High School student!
My favorite things to do are: spend time with my family, reading, writing
stories, reading, watching my sons in Tae Kwon do, reading, watching movies
- and did I mention reading? :) I really love a good book and some
chocolate to go with it!
