Mr. Cordero is H. B. Zachry's Head Counselor. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (1981) and also his Master of Education in Counseling (1989). Mr. Cordero is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. He joined the faculty in August 1991 as the 8th grade counselor and became Zachry's Head Counselor in August 1999.

Mr. Cordero came to San Antonio by way of Lubbock, Texas where he was employed as an English teacher with the Lubbock Independent School District. He taught 7th grade English for nine years before becoming a school counselor. Mr. Cordero now calls San Antonio his home and spends his leisure time with family and friends. His favorite pastime is playing golf, and his interests are reading and attending summer workshops.
