Integration Labs

Technology Integration is a great way to pique student interest and improve their knowledge of the subject matter. Students take pride in the professional looking products that they create.

Because it is difficult for teachers to integrate technology into their curriculums solely in their classroom, it is necessary to have labs to take students to in order to do research, type up papers, brochures and presentations.

We have two labs available for Technology Integration. The second lab is also used for Beginning and Advanced Technology Applications and Keyboarding. Thanks to the Bond Deployment, both labs have new computers, deployed in December 2005. Each lab has 28 student stations, one teacher station, two black laser printers, one network color printer and a scanner.

This year, we are privileged to have a digital projector hung from the ceiling in each lab, as well as an Interactive Smart Board for teachers and students to use during lessons, demonstrations and presentations.

The Smart Board helps to get the teacher or student out of the seat and use his / her finger as a mouse in order to point and click on links, applications, etc.

Our labs are multi-purpose and are used for computer testing of student reading levels, Keyboarding, Beginning and Advanced Technology Applications, and integration projects. An after school tutoring program sometimes uses the lab in order to help students do their homework assignments.
