Special Education has taken a multi-pronged approach to technology, according to the needs of their students. Our Zachry Learning Center is a prime example of that. To evaluate the reading and math levels of new students, ZTC uses STAR Reading and Math evaluation software. Those students with writing challenges are able to use Alpha Smart keyboards in order to put their thoughts into words. They are then able to "beam" their work to a printer for a hard copy.

There are a number of classrooms with additional computers being used for student learning, including Applied Math, State Compensatory Education, Behavioral Management Center, Autistic and Applied Learning Enviornment. Special software and online subscriptions are utilized with these students to enhance their learning experience.
