State Required STAAR letter

Dear Parents/Guardians of Connally MS Students:

The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) will be administered this Spring 2021. The STAAR measures the statewide curriculum in Reading at Grades 6-8, Writing at Grade 7, Mathematics at Grades 6-8, Science at Grade 8, and Social Studies at Grade 8.

Your son/daughter is scheduled to participate in STAAR in Spring 2021.

There is no state option for taking a state assessment from home, so virtual learners are invited to campus. Meals will be available on testing dates. Transportation for bus eligible students will be provided. Visit our school’s website at www.nisd.net/Connally and scroll to Announcements for a link to request Tester Transportation for virtual learners. Requests must be submitted no less than 1 week prior to testing date. Safety protocols in place for staff and students are also available on the campus website under Playbook.

The following list includes the subjects and dates of testing. Those with an * will be administered online at the school.
