3. Proof of residence (recent electric bill, water bill, or dated lease contract)

4. Parent's driver's license or photo ID

5. Social Security Card of the child being registered

6. Affidavit of Residence (if applicable) or Legal Guardianship Paperwork (if applicable)

Our Kinder Philosophy. In kindergarten we hope to ignite a love for lifelong learning, build memorable relationships, and create quality educational opportunities. We know all students develop and grow in their own special ways. We will strive to meet each child’s individual needs and assess them accordingly. We will teach with rigor and encourage all students to rise to their highest potential.

Class Dojo: Fields Elementary uses the ClassDojo app as our form of school wide communication. Parents are encouraged to download the app and join their teachers link during meet the teacher in order to stay up to date on classroom messages and events. There is also a school wide classdojo, that send out information pertaining to the entire campus.

Lunch, Naps, Snack and Accidents: Your child may bring a lunch from home, or buy a lunch from school. We do NOT have nap time during the day. We have snack time daily. Please send healthy snacks that are easy to open. You will need to send a change of clothes in a ziploc, that will stay in your child’s backpack. This is their “just in case” clothes.

Independence: We are working on encouraging independence in your young child. This builds their confidence, self awareness, and self managing skills. Please help us reinforce this at home. There are some basic skills your child should be able to perform independently or should be practicing daily.

Kinder Facebook Pages: Being in kinder is an adventure, and at times, it’s nice to see what is your child is doing in the classroom. Kindergarten teachers have private facebook pages, dedicated to sharing with you, all the amazing learning that takes place in our classrooms. All classroom pages are private and only classroom parents are allowed to be on the page!

How to prepare your child for kinder: Read to your child everyday. Count objects at home. (snack or toys) Have your child find letters they know, (grocery lists, mail, books, toys, snacks) Practice writing first name, (First letter capitalized, the rest lowercase.) Play rhyming games. Practice cutting with scissors.
