We offer full-day Pre-K, where students develop oral language and vocabulary skills. Children identify the letters of the alphabet, and develop phonemic awareness skills. Children learn to interact with others and monitor their own behavior. Children learn to express themselves through words, art, and music. Children also develop observation and thinking skills through math, science, and social studies. The program incorporates social/emotional development, language & communication, emergent literacy reading, emergent literacy writing, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, physical development, and technology applications. In Northside, all Pre-K teachers are certified by the Texas Education Agency in early childhood education, with many of them certified in Bilingual education also.
