Distance learning extended through April 24

Distance learning extended through April 24

Northside ISD is extending the period of time we will be providing Distance learning through Friday, April 24. We make this decision in our continued attempt to keep students and staff safe and to comply with guidance from local officials. During this time, District and campus offices will remain accessible by phone, but most District facilities will be closed to visitors.

We will continue to offer curbside meals for children 18 years old and younger at designated locations around the District. Grab and go breakfasts will be distributed between 7 a.m. -  9 a.m. and hot lunches between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Bexar County's recent Stay Home, Work Safe directive does allow families to pick up food from any of the designated locations identified below:

  • Hobby MS
  • Jones MS
  • Luna MS
  • Neff MS
  • Pease MS
  • Rayburn MS
  • Ross MS
  • Rudder MS
  • Stinson MS
  • Vale MS
  • Zachry MS

Our teachers and instructional specialists remain committed to providing high-quality instruction through online platforms like Google Classroom. We will continue to distribute technology devices to Northside families, as needed, to allow students to engage in this online instruction. To request a mobile device, parents may complete the online form or may call their child's school to make their request.

For additional assistance in the areas of Social and Emotional support or technology assistance, visit nisd.net under the banner: breaking updates regarding COVID-19.

We will continue to keep you updated with any new developments on our website and through social media channels. I hope you and your family are safe and healthy.
