“Exciting things are happening in NISD in regards to creating bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural students,” says Victor Raga, director of Bilingual and ESL Education.
For the 2020-2021 school year, dual language programming will expand to include grades K-1 at Glenn, Langley, Martin, and Westwood Terrace elementary schools.
In addition, the District is expanding the dual language program to Pre-K at existing dual language campuses (that offer) full-day Pre-K. These campuses include Burke, Esparza, Fisher, Howsman, Leon Valley, Myers, Passmore, and Villarreal elementary schools.
