Fine Arts groups earn $4,750 at F.A.M.E. Awards

Six Northside ISD high school Fine Arts groups earned a total of $4,750 in grants at the 5th annual Junior League of San Antonio F.A.M.E. Awards.

Finalists performed at the F.A.M.E. Awards on Sunday, April 7. First place performances earned $2,000 grants, second place earned $750, and third place earned $250.

Winners were selected by judges with expertise in each discipline.

Northside ISD results:

Dance –

2nd place – Louis D. Brandeis HS – $750

3rd place – Earl Warren HS – $250

Instrumental –

2nd place – Oliver Wendell Holmes HS – $750

Theatrical –

2nd place – William Brennan HS – $750

Vocal –

1st place – William Howard Taft HS – $2,000

3rd place – Louis D. Brandeis HS - $250

F.A.M.E. stands for Funding Arts and Music Education and the Junior League F.A.M.E. Committee recognizes San Antonio-area youth in the performing arts.

Last year, Northside ISD Fine Arts students from Brandeis, Clark, Taft, and Warren high schools earned a total of $6,750 in grants for their programs.
