Need internet access at home?

Northside ISD has partnered with TEA Connect Texas (TEACT) to provide eligible families access to free internet service at home.

Monthly home-based, high-speed broadband internet service will be available at no cost on a first come, first served basis. To be eligible, families must currently lack adequate home internet service.

The goal is to address the “Homework Gap” and provide students internet access outside of school hours. This is along with the District’s one-to-one device initiative which provides laptops and Chromebooks to all students.

To get started, visit the TEA Connect Texas website. Families will need to provide their child’s student ID number, a phone number and email address, and home address.

Hard copy forms are available in each NISD school office for families who need assistance completing and submitting.

All forms must be submitted by Oct. 1, 2021.

Once eligibility is determined, TEACT will work as a liaison between families and internet service providers to schedule installation.

TEACT is a Texas Education Agency initiative to support school districts. For more information or questions about the program, visit the TEACT website.
